About Us

Margaret Cain is the founder and flower grower behind Valley Girl Flower Farm – where seasonal blooms, sunshine, and a bit of delightful chaos come together rather beautifully.
Truth be told, she could really blame all this on Dave and his unwavering love of sunflowers. What was meant to be a perfectly reasonable plan — “let’s plant a few rows” — escalated quickly. One stretch of golden blooms turned into another, and before long Margaret found herself knee-deep in soil, seed catalogues, and what can only be described as a full-blown floral affair.
That modest row of sunflowers has since grown into Valley Girl Flower Farm: a vibrant, joy-filled space where flowers aren’t simply grown — they’re properly experienced. From meandering through the fields on You-Pick days to popping by the farm stand for a freshly gathered bouquet, every visit is meant to feel welcoming, beautiful, and just a touch magical.
Margaret grows with the rhythm of the seasons, choosing varieties that feel abundant, textural, and full of personality (a bit like the farm itself). Each stem is harvested at its peak and handled with care – whether it’s heading to your kitchen table, brightening the stand for the week, or setting the scene for a rather lovely event.
At its heart, Valley Girl Flower Farm is about creating moments: dirt on your boots, flowers in your arms, laughter drifting across the rows. It’s modern flower farming with intention, community, and a playful spirit — all because one man couldn’t resist a sunflower.
